The New River Soil and Water Conservation District is accepting applications for a part-time (up to 40 hours) Conservation Technician with focus on administering and implementing agricultural cost share Best Management Practices (BMPs) within Carroll and Grayson counties and the City of Galax. Salary will be based on qualifications. Background checks are required when working for a State agency. NRSWCD is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Education in an agricultural/natural resources related field and/or equivalent experience is required.
be knowledgeable in areas of conservation and agriculture
have general computer skills, conservation planning, surveying, map reading, ArcMap/GIS
have a valid Virginia driver’s license
be willing to participate in a backgroun check
